General Information
Bioinformatics is a newly developed interdisciplinary science that lies at the intersection of biology and computer science. It also involves aspects of chemistry, physics, and mathematics. As a start, informational analysis enables diverse and extensive biological data to be arranged and codified and also enables complex biological data to be analyzed. (DNA sequence codes, protein- and nucleic acid structure codes, analogy- and homology comparisons, etc...) Conversely, there are also concept formations and models of computer science that are based upon the natural processes of biology (evolutionary algorithms, neural nets, etc…).
